Principal's Weekly
December 13, 2019

Dear Hanover High School Community,

Believe it or not the second quarter is winding down.  When we return from the winter vacation we have one week of classes and then a week of exams/midterms.  Here are a few answers to frequently asked questions:

  • The exam schedule will be released next week
  • During exam week students only need to be at HHS for their scheduled exams
  • The building is open during exam week and students are welcome to be here to study, seek help from teachers, etc
  • Buses run according to the usual schedule

I hope everyone has a restful weekend.  Hopefully the snow will return soon!!!

Principal
Hanover High School

COMMUNITY NEWS AND EVENTS - the following may be of interest to our community but is not directly connected to Hanover High School

A great community event with Hanover High School students and community members:

Please join us for the
The Christmas Mystery in Hanover, NH
Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 4 and 5 p.m. (no late admittance)
in Rollins Chapel on the Dartmouth College campus, Hanover, NH

All Welcome! Free and open to the public

This choral retelling of the Nativity story features Hanover High School senior girls playing the roles of angels and senior boys as shepherds, and local men lending their voices as elder shepherds, wisemen and Joseph. The identity of Mary is a mystery until the performance. She is a member of the previous year’s graduating class, and is chosen by a secret vote of her angel group. Celebrating 103 years, the Christmas Mystery is one of the longest-running pageants in the country.

A highlight of the pageant is the performance of We Three Kings, when the kings arrive with an adorable page in tow and present their gifts at the manger. Audience members can bring new unwrapped gifts for local children which will be donated to the Upper Valley Haven and LISTEN. The Christmas Mystery performance itself is supported by voluntary donations that may be made upon leaving the chapel.

Bring your family, friends and neighbors!
