Happy Friday! I believe it’s been another great week at Hanover High School. I’ve had the opportunity to observe several classes this week and am pleased with what I see. Students are engaged in learning opportunities throughout the day.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be surveying staff, students, and parents for feedback on various aspects of the school year, including the alternating block schedule and remote Wednesday. The alternating block schedule was a new initiative introduced to mitigate COVID risks and, along with a designated lunch period, is totally new for HHS students and staff. We will continue to assess the program and, if possible, make amendments for the second semester.
Lastly, I would like to remind everyone to stay vigilant in adhering to COVID protocols. We are very fortunate that there have been no reported cases at HHS. This is largely due to everyone doing what they need to do including wearing masks, social/physical distancing, daily attestation, and adherence to travel guidelines. I remain hopeful that adherence to these protocols will enable us to continue the in-person learning program. Please continue to reach out to our school nurses if you have any questions.
Thanks again for everything and have a great weekend.
