Happy Friday! As the month progresses toward the holiday break I believe we should all reflect on how fortunate we are to be in school and that programs have been created to accommodate all learners. These are tough times for everyone and I’m certain we are all wrestling with adhering to the COVID protocols. I long for the days of not having to wear a mask, and having in-person student and staff meetings. Hopefully we will have an update on a vaccine approval this weekend and start to take steps to recovery.
I want to acknowledge how hard the staff is working to teach in this environment and how respectful the students are. For many, this is a stretch outside of their comfort zone and they have to constantly remind themselves that they can do this. Teachers are spending a great deal of time creating lessons that work in this new school environment and reminding students to be aware of the protocols. The vigilance that the school community is showing is paying off and we should all be proud that we are staying the course with our instructional model.
As we head into the final 7 school days of 2020 please be safe and continue to remind your student to remain vigilant as they go through their day and work collectively to keep HHS a safe haven for learning.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
