Information Services

The information services department joins together the library and technology departments to form one department that shares a common goal of providing students with the skills and resources to find, create and evaluate information. The information services curriculum is embedded into Hanover High School courses. All students take part a plagiarism lesson in 9th grade English classes and a science/health literacy lesson in 10th grade Health classes. In subsequent years, students build on evaluation and citing skills in research papers and projects that occur across disciplines. A technology portfolio is required for graduation and many of the projects and lessons described above can be submitted as part of a student's technology portfolio.
